Some Final Words on Fracking

When you go to the voting booths on June 15th what are you voting for? Definitely do not vote for natural gas. I mean who wants to use an energy that pollutes our ozone layer, and will only last for about 70 years!! I definitely don’t. Hydrofracking is dangerous for plants and animals all over. Methane is a dangerous chemical for humans, and that is the main ingredient when you hydrofrack. Sadly it is said that methane can cause cancer. Why would we use Hydrofracking if it can destroy the community inside of it? Natural gas has other dangers besides leaking deadly carbon monoxide and causing explosions. It is not safe as the industry leads you to believe. It is poisonous to breathe and can kill humans and animals. Roxanne Bedford is an example of this. She did not have a faulty furnace; she did not have carbon monoxide poisoning. Her home did have a small natural gas leak that never accumulated to the point of explosion. What it did is poison her family and make them very ill. Don’t trust Hydrofracking, it is not safe! If you frack we will fight back!

Crazy About Coal

Vote for coal!!!
Attention citizens of we built this city, I am asking you to vote for coal because coal is the best energy out there. Its easy to get to we have plenty of it available. Cole is found underground. And many people are starting to use it for many things such a heating their homes and using it for work. I think you would be making  a great choice if you vote for coal and in the long run you will be happier because it doesn’t pollute our environment as much as some other energy’s.

Why Not Wind?

I want a future with wind do you? Well you should, there are many reasons to for wind energy to power our city. First it is a clean and renewable energy resource, It has been improving a lot over the years. And unlike a lot of other energy types wind will never run out. This is why I believe that you should vote for wind. Do it for the clean and green city you deserve.

A Bright Idea!

Citizens of WeebuiltdisCity, have you decided what we should use to power our city? Why not consider solar energy? It is quiet, clean and great for the environment. 1 solar panel costs only 179$. If we use solar panels to power the city it would not take up space because the solar company says that they are going to put the panels in Motivator pass which is a desert by WeebuiltdisCity. In addition there is no deposit of fossil fuels only clean energy. Many people worry about what would happen on a day where there is no sun. The sunlight can be stored in special batteries for days with no sunlight. The technology of WeebuiltdisCity is improving everyday, so it is getting easier and easier to use solar panels. Light is right!

Everybody needs to vote! Why? We need to know what power the city’s citizens want to power our city with the most.  It’s important for our city so we don’t crash and burn!  There have been pros and cons to all sides of power for our city but many great advertisements to persuade you to vote for the energy! We need everybody’s vote to get an accurate vote on what energy would be best to power our city! VOTE!

Exercise Your Right to Vote Next Friday!

Hi WeebuiltdisCity! Everyone has been working super hard on their projects and I can’t wait to see the final effect. Hopefully everyone has been thinking about voting on June 15th. What energy are you going to vote for? I just wanted to encourage everyone to think long and hard about what power we are going to use to power WeebuiltdisCity. I think it’s really cool that kids get the opportunity to vote, and share there opinions. Most other cities wouldn’t allow that. There have been a numerous times when we could have learned about other groups ideas. That’s all from this girl! Don’t forget to vote!

A Little Nugget about Nuclear Energy

“Nuclear energy is good because it doesn’t pollute the air it runs 24 hours a day so you can have light. I don’t know the cons for it and I think we should use it for our city.” Kyra stated. Well as you can see Nuclear energy is only good for a few things but not good for everything. Nuclear energy is still very dangerous. Nuclear energy is what caused Chernobyl, Three Mile Island, and a previous one in Japan.

That’s all I got to say for today! Geo is the right way to go!

From the WBDC Marketing Specialists

I asked Paige what they were doing in A8; she said that they were making brochures. “What are these brochures going to do?” I asked. She said they would inform, and persuade people to take their side. She also said that they would pass out their brochures to our special guests either Friday or whatever time the brochures are ready. When I had walked in it wasn’t very loud, they were all focused on their work. It appeared as if they were hiding something highly secretive. Then I went to interview Brooke, as I turned on the camera, I saw a plastic cup and a napkin. I asked what it was and she said from her juice, I asked what else she had with her juice and she said”a doughnut.” I asked her if that was it and Trea said “oh, yeah and pop tarts too!” It appears their secret was hiding their snacks from us! Mrs. Sobon disagreed stating it was fair, because she bought it for them.

Possible Power?

Employee of BECM Power Corps Speaks about Coal

Q: Hi Meredith can you tell me good and bad things about coal?
A: Some good things about coal are since it’s already naturally there all we have to do is dig it, and we have a scrubber that will take off 95% of the smog and waste, maybe even more. Solar energy makes smog on the coal which makes the coal dirty. Some bad things about coal are it takes along time to regenerate. It takes a couple million years to regenerate.

Thanks Meredith for taking the time to talk to me.
